International Student Life at SUNY Oneonta

SUNY Oneonta is a teaching-focused university set in a small, peaceful college town in New York State. With its moderate size, international students often find it easier to settle in and receive more personal support than at larger campuses.

Living costs in college towns like Oneonta tend to be lower than in major cities, which helps ease the overall financial burden on families. This is one reason many Vietnamese students look beyond schools in large urban areas.

The school's International Student Services office supports students throughout their studies, from initial check-in procedures to guidance on on-campus employment, clubs, and activities that help international students connect with peers from home and abroad.
