Preparing Your Fall Application: Key Timelines to Know

The process from application to arrival in the US typically spans several months, covering admission review, scholarship confirmation (if applicable), I-20 issuance, the SEVIS fee, the DS-160 form, and the F-1 visa interview. Students targeting a Fall intake should start preparing their documents as early as possible, ideally many months in advance.

Preparing transcripts, recommendation letters (if required), and English test scores (if available) early makes both admission and scholarship review go more smoothly. If you don't yet have an IELTS/TOEFL score, talk to an admissions representative about which English pathway (ESL, EAP, or IELP) fits each school.

Exact application deadlines vary by school and can change year to year. Check the Intakes & Deadlines section on each school's page, and contact our representative in Vietnam to confirm the latest timeline for your target intake.

See the Visa Guide page for a step-by-step walkthrough of the F-1 visa process once you've received your offer letter and Form I-20.
